Morphology and Anatomy:

General characteristics of the genus:

• Body filiform. Head with cephalic vesicle.
• Cervical papillae very small.
• Esophagus increases only slightly in width distally.
• Cuticle with 10 longitudinal cuticular ridges with striated appearance; the 2 ridges on either side of lateral field large, dorsal ridge larger than
  ventral.

Females:

• Vulva opens in posterior third of body;
• Vulvalr flap present or absent;
• Oviparous
• Tail pointed; oviparous.

Males:

• Prebursal papillae small.
• Bursa with indistinct symmetrical dorsal lobe equal in length to the large lateral lobes; divergent ventral rays with common stem, curve anteriorly;
  lateral rays directed postero-laterally, arise from a common stem, externodorsals arise
  from the base of the dorsal ray; dorsal ray long, bifurcates only at its distal end, each branch
  divides again to produce a smaller internal branch and a longer outer branch, length and
  division of internal branch variable.
• Spicules short, divided into main stem and two branches, one of branches carries variable number of ridges;
• Gubemaculum absent.
• Genital cone complex.
