Morphology and Anatomy:

• Larger-sized nematodes.
• Body whitish, elongate, slightly narrower in region between posterior end of pseudobuccal capsule and posterior end of esophagus
• Lateral cervical alae absent.
• Cephalic end rounded in lateral view; oral aperture dorsoventrally elongate, surrounded by raised narrow membraneous ala (collarette) supported by row of about 100 minute basal teeth
•  Four submedian cephalic double papillae and pair of lateral amphids present
• Eesophagus muscular, expanded anteriorly inot a bulbous pseudobuccal capsule (esophastome;  posterior of esophagus also expanded, slightly broader than esophastome in lateral view
•  Six large rounded esophageal lobes, 3 on each side, visible in mouth in apical view
• Eesophagus opens into intestine through large valve.

Female:

• V=53-56%
• Didelphic, amphidelphic
• Tail with terminal spike

 

Male:

• Well-developed ventral sucker
• Spicules equal, broad, non-alate
• Gubernaculum absent
• Caudal papillae present, 13 pairs
• Tail with terminal spike
