Morphology and Anatomy:

Body whitish, elongate, somewhat narrowed in esophageal region.
Narrow lateral cervical alae present, between posterior end of pseudobuccal capsule almost to posterior end of esophagus.
Stoma dorsoventrally elongate, surrounded by a collar of narrow membranous ala supported by a row of about 100 minute basal teeth.
Four submedian cephalic double papillae and pair of lateral amphids.
Esophagus muscular, expanded at anterior end to form bulbous esophastome (pseudobuccal capsule).
Posterior part of esophagus also expanded, somewhat narrower than esophastome
Esophagus opening into intestine through large valve.
Nerve ring encircles esophagus at 29%-35% of esophageal length.
Deirids small, situated in posterior half of distance between nerve ring and posterior end of oesophagus.
Excretory pore in region of esophago-intestinal junction.
Tail of both sexes conical, sharply pointed at tip.

Didelphic, amphidelphic; Vulva at 60-63% of body length.

Gubernaculum sclerotized

Distribution:

Described from digestive tract of longfin African conger eel, Conger cinereus Rappell (Congridae, Anguilliformes).

Type locality: Deep sea, 400 m depth, near Passe de Dumbea, off Noumea, New Caledonia.
