The superfamily Habronematoidea is a family of spirurian animal parasites

• The superfamily Habronematoidea is comprised of parasitic nematode species with birds and mammals as definitive hosts and with arthropods, usually Diptera as intermediate hosts
• Feeding sites in definitive host are intestine, body cavities and muscle tissues.
• Habronematidosis is a parasitic nematode disease of equids caused by spirurid species of Draschia megastoma, Habronema microstoma, and Habronema muscae
