Richtersiidae Kreis, 1929
Type genus of the family: Richtersia Steiner, 1916
A family of free-living marine nematodes.
Short, stout body.
Cuticle finely annulated with longitudinal rows of small spines.
Anterior sensilla in a 6+10 pattern, all setose.
Amphif fovea ventrally coiled in unispiral or multispiral
Stoma broad, surrounded by 6 lips and a circular collaret.
Buccal cavity nearly cylindrical
Esophagus short, cylindrical., uniformly muscular.
Males monorchic, testis derected anteriorly.
No obvious preclocacal supplements
