Parasites of nasal cavities of mustelids (carnivorous mammals: weasels, badgers, ferrets, etc.).

 Gastropod molluscs are intermediate hosts  (Anderson, 2000).

Characteroistics:

• Buccal capsule vestigial; mouth without lips;
• bursa modified to form lateral fleshy lobes with papillae replacing rays, dorsal lobe reduced;
• vulva at mid-region of body;
• ovoviviparous.
