Morphology and Anatomy:

.

Female:
  • Genital system didelphic-amphidelphic, both branches equally developed.
  • Ovaries reflexed, variably developed, oocytes arranged first in several rows and then in a single row. Oviduct joining ovary subterminally, consisting of a tubular part and a moderately developed pars dilatata with small lumen. Oviduct-uterus junction with distinct sphincter.
  • Vagina extending inwards 33-38% of corresponding body diam., pars proximalis with slightly sigmoid walls and surrounded by weak musculature, pars refringens vaginae with two distinct, triangular to trapezoidal, pieces, pars distalis nearly absent.
  • Vulva probably a short transverse slit.
  • Tail short and rounded. Two pairs of caudal pores, one subdorsal, one lateral or subventral
Males:
  • Prerectum 2.8-3.3 anal body diam. long.
  • Genital system diorchic, with opposed testes.
  • Besides an adcloacal pair of supplements 6-8 μm from cloacal aperture, a series of 8-10 closely and regularly spaced (9-16 μm apart) ventromedian supplements located outside range of spicules.
  •  Spicules curved ventrad and moderately robust, 4.6-5.4 times as long as wide and 1.4-1.6 anal body diam. long,. curvature 130°, median piece occupying nearly half of spicule width. Lateral guiding pieces comparatively short and robust, somewhat fusiform, 9-11 μm long and 3-4 times as long as wide, with bifurcate terminus.
  • Tail somewhat more conoid and straighter on its ventral margin than that of female.
