 Morphology and Anatomy:
	-   Body of mature females swollen or kidney shaped.  
 
	- Lip region not as high as in Hoplolaiminae.  
 
	- Esophageal glands enlarged into a long lobe overlapping the intestine, mostly laterally. 
	
 
	- Rotylenchulinae are sessile, semi-endoparasites and deposit their eggs in a gelatinous matrix, whereas Hoplolaiminae are ectoparasites or migratory semi-endoparasites and 
	deposit their eggs free in the soil.
