Morphology and Anatomy:

Female: No cyst stage.  
  • Body globose, with projecting neck; no terminal cone.  
  • Cuticle thick, annulated on whole body, except the vulval-anal area.
  • Stylet slender, with rounded knobs sloping posteriorly.
  • Median bulb nearly rounded, with distinct valve plates situated centrally.
  • Vulva terminal, lips distinctly protruding.
  • Anus subterminal, area between anus and vulva slightly concave.
  • Perineal pattern ovoid, with smooth and continuous striae.
  • Eggs and juveniles retained inside body.

Male: 
  • Body slender, ventrally curved when heat-relaxed.
  • Lateral fields with three incisures.
  • Labial region slightly offset with a prominent labial disc and two post-labial annuli.
  • Stylet long and robust, cone straight, shaft cylindrical, stylet knobs well developed with distinct anterior projection.
  • Median bulb oval, with bead-shaped valve plates situated centrally.
  •  Pharyngeal glands well developed, ventrally overlapping intestine.
  •  Excretory pore conspicuous.
  • Testis single, anteriorly outstretched.
  • Spicules slender, arcuate. Gubernaculum small.
  • Tail short, hemispherical. Phasmids indistinct.

Detected in Ningbo port of entry in Chuina from Podocarpus macrophyllus trees imported from Japan.
