Morphology and Anatomy:

 

Female:

Lip region offset, typical for genus.

Median bulb well-developed.  

Excretory pore near mid-level of isthmus.

Basal esophageal bulb elongate-pyriform. Not overlapping intestine. 

Vulva a transverse slit with a pair of opposing sclerotized pieces in lateral view.  

Ovaries paired, outstretched, spermathecae present. 

Tail  tapering sharply and becoming elongate.    

Male: Similar to female.

Spicules and gubernaculum slightly arcuate. Gubernaculum reflexed at tip.

Males have unique caudal alae, well-developed. Tail tip bifurcate.

Distribution:

Recorded from soil around roots of red maple, Acer rubrum L., in a creek bottom near Ludrwig, Johnson County, Arkansas.
