Damage:

The effect of two ectoparasitic nematodes, Helicotylenchus indicus and Tylenchorhynchus goffarti in single and mixed inoculum levels was studied on growth parameters and yield of okra (Abelmoschus esculentus).

Mixed inoculum of H. indicus and T. goffarti significantly reduced the root and shoot length as compared with the control, while only the single inoculum of H. indicus caused reduction in root length.  Fruit yield was reduced in both single and mixed inoculum treatments compared to control.  The final population of nematodes was highest in the mixed inoculum. (Study by Khan, et al., 1994).
