Classification:

Tylenchida
       Tylenchina
        Tylenchoidea
         Tylenchidae
            Ecphyadophorinae

Chilensis elegans Chilenchus elegans (Raski & Geraert, 1986) Siddiqi, 2000.

Type species of the genus

Synonyms:
Lelenchus elegans Raski & Geraert, 1986

Raski collected the type species of this genus in Chile and, with Geraert, described it as Lelenchus elegans Raski & Geraert, 1986. Siddiqi (2000) considered that characteristics of the species differed from those of the genus Lelenchus and established the genus Chilenchus for this species, recognizing Chile as the source of the type specimen.  Consequently, the type and only species is Chilenchus elegans (Raski & Geraert, 1986) Siddiqi, 2000.
