Described from white pear (Apodytes dimidiata) in an evergreen forest on the southern Cape coast of South Africa.
Mature female feeds as a semiendoparasite with the swollen posterior part on the outside of the root and the long vermiform anterior embedded deep into root tissue.
Ecophysiological Parameters:
Eggs deposited in a gelatinous matrix secreted by female.
Mature males were found in the gelatinous matrix in whiche eggs are deposited suggesting the possibility of attraction of males to females and of sexual reprodiction.
