Quasiamidostomum Lomakin, 1991
Type species of the genus: Quasiamidostomum fulicae (Rudolphi, 1819) Lomakin, 1991
Synonyms:

Amidostomum fulicae (Rudolphi, 1819) Seurat, 1918
Krolaczyk et al 2020 used discriminat analysis of morphometric characteristics to conclude that Quadramidostomum is separate from the genus Amidostomum.
Characteristics of the genus as represented primarily by Q. fulicae:
Buccal cavity thick-walled with a large slim dorsal tooth extending from the bottom of the buccal cavity almost to the stomal aperture.

Vulva at an average distance of 2.0 mm (about 20:% of body length) s showed somewhat larger buccal cavities, with depth and width averaging 19.4
Ovijector appeared large, with well-developed musculature, broadened in the mid-part
Eggs oval in s smooth, measuring 90.5 � 59 um on average.
Tail was long (mean length of 219.0 um), straight, and tapered posteriorly

The type species has been reported from waterfowl, includoing the common moorhen, the spotted crake and red-headed pochard from across Great Britain, Spain, Italy, Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, and Russia (Krolaczyk et al 2020)
