Morphology and Anatomy:

 

Females:

  •  Body narrowed ventrally just posterior to the vulva.
  • Didelphic, amphidelphic; ovaries antidromously reflexed.

Males:  

  •  Monorchic.
  •  Spicules weakly sclerotized, distally pointed, proximally slightly narrowed.
  •  Gubernaculum paired: two large spoon-shaped parts and wide arcuate distal ends of the parts armed with median conical spike and numerous tiny spinelets
  •  Five midventral precloacal supplements but varying in size and number among individuals,
  • Tail conical, with terminal conical spinneret 5-9 um long

Distribution:

Free-living marine nematodes described from 2260-2350 meter depth from  an aggregate of mussels at Rainbow hydrothermal sit.Northern Mid-Atlantic Ridge.

Feeding:

Probably epistrate feeders with scraping tooth in stoma  (Heip et al., 1998; Tchesunov, 2015). One specimen observed with and ingested juvenile nematode.
