Morphology and Anatomy:

• Head capsule present
• Body cuticle with spine
• Cephalic adhesion tubes modified posterior to helmet
• Posterior adhesion tubes typical of family
• Amphid spiral
• Buccal cavity with dorsal tooth and 2 subventral teeth
• Pharynx cylindrical with well-developed end bulb with lumen wall moderately thickened.

Distribution:

Free-living marine nematodes. Bathychaetosoma uchidai reported from deep sea sediments (5000 m depth) near Philippines.
