Morphology and Anatomy:

• Head capsule present
• Body cuticle smooth or with lateral field
• Cephalic adhesion tubes modified, located on helmet
• Posterior adhesion tubes typical of family
• Amphid spiral
• Buccal cavity narrow, without teeth
• Pharynx cylindrical with slightly swollen end bulb with lumen wall not thickened.

Distribution:

Free-living marine nematodes. Dracogalerus uchidai reported from deep sea sediments (5000 m depth) near Philippines.
