Classification:

Enoplea
Crateronematidae

Oonaguntus Thorne, 1974

Type species of the genus: Oonaguntus calvus Thorne, 1974
Note: the name of the genus is derived from the Ute Indian word "Oonagnut"  which means "bald head". Gerald Thorne reports that this name was affectionately bestowed by Native Americans on his father, George E. Thorne. Older Nematologists will recall that the same name might appropriately have been bestowed on Professor Gerald Thorne as well.
