Prodorylaimium Andrassy 1969

Some taxonomists have synonumized Prodorylaimium and ProdorylaimusProdorylaimus differs in the male having more supplements (13-31) which are contiguous rather than separated.

Morphology and Anatomy:

   
  • Body length 1.1-2.5mm
  • Cuticle almost smooth
  • Lip region slightly offset from body contour
  • Odontostyle stong, longer than head width, aperture about 1/3 of its length
  • Enlarged portion of esophagus about half total length
  • Females diovarial, amphidelphic
  • Male with 6-10 supplements, widely separated.
  • Tail in both sexes elongate to filiform, 5-26x anal body diameter
