Morphology and Anatomy:

  • Body length 1.4-2.1 mm.
  • Labial framework not sclerotized.
  • Lip region not offset from body contour; lips amalgamated.
  • Odontostyle slightly sinuate.
  • Female reproductive system amphiidelphic.
  • Males with dorylaimid genital system, 10-15 ventromedian supplements, uniformly spaced.
  • Female tail rounded with a short to long projection; male tail rounded.


    Morphologically similar to Mesodorylaimus except for the non-offset lip region and amalgamated lips.
Coomansinema istvani C: female anterior, F: female posterior, D: amphid;
G: male posterior.
