Morphology and Anatomy:

Males:  

  • Diorchic, testes outstretched.
  • Ventromedian supplements 1.

Female:

  •  Didelphic-amphidelphic.
  • Ovaries reflexed, with less than 10 oocytes; anterior ovary often less developed than the posterior.
  • Vulva transverse

Distribution:

Reported from soil from primary rainforest, Amazonas, Colombia. (Same as A. arcutus).

Feeding:

CCharacteristic slender odontostyle of other members of the Leptonchidae suggests fungal feeding. However, solid needle-like configuration of odontostyle may suggest alternative food sources (Yeates et al., 1993).
