Type species of the genus: Caveonchus colombicus Siddiqi, 1982

Siddiqi (1982) considered Caveonchus to represent an intermediate position between Tyleptus and Basirotyleptus.

Morphology and Anatomy:

Caveonchus siddiquii: A. anterior region. odontostyle and odontophore; D: amphid; C and E. terminal pharungeal bulb.

  •  Monodelphic, opisthodelphic.

 

 

Males:  

  • Diorchic.
  • Supplements 2-3, widely spaced.
