Classification:

Enoplea
Mydonomidae
Calolaiminae
Miranema Thorne, 1939

Type species of the genus: Miranema gracile Thorne, 1939

The classification of Miranema remains uncertain.  At various times it has been considered in the Leptonchidae, in the Miranematinae as a subfamily of the Leptonchidae, and as the single genus in the separate family Miranematidae (Goseco et al., 1974). Miranematidae  appears to have been synonymized with Mydononimidae.
