Distribution:

In a stidy of 32 Polish lakes, C. ditlevseni was found in root and rhizome samples of the aquatic plant Potamogeton lucens from 89% of the lakes . It occurred less frequently in other Potamogeton species (Prejs, 1986).

Feeding:

Although the nematodes were located in roots and rhizomes of aquatic plants, their feeding habits are undetermined. Sometimes considered to be feeding on decaying organic material.
