Morphology and Anatomy:

 
  • small nematodes, 0.3-0.9 mm
  • cuticle striated.
  • head not swollen or enlarged at lip region.
  • four cephalic setae.
  • amphids large, circular or unispiral, behind stoma.
  • Stoma narrow, tubular, with small teeth.
  • Esophagus cylindrical with moderate terminal bulb which has a transverse division.
  • Female diovarial, ovaries reflexed.
  • Males uncommon.
  • Tail conoid.
  • Three caudal glands ducted to a spinneret at tail terminus.

Distribution:

Predominantly freshwater inhabitant.
