Skrjabillanidae Shigin & Shigina, 1958
A nematode family tht includes fish parasites with fish lice (carp
lice, Argulus sp. - crustacean parasites of fish) as intermediate
hosts of some taxa.
Approximately 20% of two species of Argulus from the Caspian
Sea were found with juveniles of Skrjabillanidae. In laboratory studies, the fish life were shown to be
intermedaite hosts for the nematodes (Tikhomirova, 1983).
Somewhat restricted Palearctic distribution (Aragort et al., 2002).
