Meiodorus hollisi Siddiqi, 1976 is the type sepecies of the genus.

Morphology and Anatomy:

Females:

  • Cephalic region  offset.
  • Lip region annulated, not lobed
  • Lateral field areolated with 3 incisures.
  • Stylet slender - 11-26 µm, needle-like conus.
  • Median bulb oval, mot very offset from isthmus.
  • Basal bulb of esophagus pyriform with cardia at base
  • Female reproductive system diovarial, ovaries outstretched,with round or oval spermatheca, in line.
  • Vulva raised, thick labia.
  • Tail elongate conoid

Males:

  • Spicules flanged; gubernaculum protrusible
  • Caudal alae trilobed with lateral lobes not projecting beyond tail tip.
  • Male tail tip pointed.
  • Tails broadly rounded.
