Feeding:

Classified as predators (Yeates et al., 1993) and predatory behavior of A. thorniei on other nematodes extensively studied (Bilgrami et al., 2001).

Feeding behavior of A. thornei was observed on bacterial-feeding and plant-parasitic nematode prey.  Number of predators at feeding sites, duration of feeding and other predation charcteristics differed between A. thornei and Mesodurylaimus bastiani (Bilgrami et al., 2001).
