Type species of the genus is Falcihasta palustris Clark, 1964

Morphology and Anatomy:

The genus is distinguished from all others in the Swangeridae and other Belondiroidea by the short, dorsally curved odontostyle which has the aperture on the dorsal side, and by lateral expansions on the tail.
